How hungry are you for God? Are
you Thirsting? Are you Longing? Are you Seeking?
Are you reaching out to God to find the treasures
that is in his heart? I challenge you to read and
receive what the Spirit is saying to the church.
The Father is looking for true worshipers. Worship
is entering into the presence of the Lord with a
heart of surrender experiencing the love of the
Father, the mercy of the son, and the refreshing
life of the Spirit. We were created for such a life
in his presence. True worship flows from the heart
of one who walks in the fear of the Lord and withholds
nothing from God.
Are you a True worshiper? The Father
is seeking. He's looking for people who are honest
before him, people who fear him, people who deal
with sin, and people who surrender to his will.
We can't worship any kind of way. We can't come
into God's house after being carnal all day and
feel we can worship. We can't tell lies all day,
Gossip, sleep around and stir up mess and think
we can come into God's presence. It doesn't work
that way because if we try to come in like that,
a religious spirit will come in and take over. Sisters
and brothers, God is seeking for true worshipers.
John 4:23-24
(23) But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true
worshipers shall worship the father in spirit and
in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship
him.
(24) God is a Spirit: and they that worship him
must worship in spirit and in truth.
When the woman at the well first began to talk with
Jesus, she did not know he was the Messiah. When
Jesus reveled himself to her, the connection was
made in her heart. She turned to him, knowing somehow
that he could take care of her sin. She was willing
to surrender to him and his salvation. At that point
the Woman lined up her life before him as her Messiah
and knew he could give her living water. She ran
to tell the villagers about this Jesus who "told
(her) all the things that (she had) done."
She was honest and transparent from the heart. "All
of you know what kind of life I have lived. He revealed
the sin in my life and he is right. "You must
come see this man." " Surely he is the
Christ." True worshipers must deal with sin.
We must deal with what is "on the inside,"
for that is where the real person is. God wants
"real people" as His worshipers; people
who surrender to him from the heart and worship
him with all that is within them. The Father still
seeks such as these to be his worshipers.
True worship must be in spirit and truth, dealing
with sin God's way and yielding to Jesus as Lord
and Savior. The Father wants to meet us spirit to
Spirit based on truth; the truth about who he is
as Holy God and the truth about who each person
is as a sinner in need of a Savior. Those who worship
in the Spirit also boast or "glory in Christ"
and "put no confidence in the flesh."
True worship includes not only initial trust in
Christ for salvation, but also our trust in the
Holy Spirit to empower us and direct us day by day.
The Spirit leads us in knowing Christ more fully,
in growing in faith, and in telling others of the
salvation Christ can give. The Spirit wants us to
drink the refreshing water of life, rejoice in our
walk with Jesus and allow that "living water"
to overflow to others around us.
What does it mean for you and me to walk
in true worship today? We know it is still
the Father's will that we worship in spirit and
truth. He is still looking at the heart of each
of us. He still wants truth to reside and reign
in the inner man. God is pleased when we obediently
walk in the fear of the Lord in surrender, withholding
nothing from Him. Psalm 84:10 One day in the presence
of God is better than a thousand anywhere else because
when we are in God's presence, we can experience
walking in the fullness of God.
How can your life be God's dwelling place,
a place of true worship? Your life can
be God's dwelling place when you walk as His Temple,
where sin is dealt with, forgiveness is experienced,
and the fullness of His Spirit is real and lasting.
You may be asking, "How can I walk
in the fullness of the Holy Spirit and become the
temple God wants me to be?"
(1) confess any and all sin to God.
(2) Present yourself to God to be filled and controlled
by his Spirit Withholding nothing.
(3) Ask him in faith to fill you with his spirit.
Expect him to fill you as you obey bis word.
God's ultimate destiny for his children is unbroken
fellowship and pure worship of Him as their heavenly
father; and unhindered, undistracted unsoiled walk
with him in the light of his presence. God is seeking
True worshipers. A life of worshiping him in spirit
and truth. A life that will take us into eternity,
where our worship will finally be perfected.
